This depiction has been said to be an accurate illustration of the early Christian church and Islam as told by non-westerners. ⁣The Message is a 1976 Islamic epic drama film directed and produced by Moustapha Akkad, chronicling the life and times of the Islamic prophet Muhammad through the perspective of his uncle Hamza ibn Abdul-Muttalib and adopted son Zayd ibn Harithah.

One of my favorite films of all time, along with Lion of the Desert. Anthony Quinn was absolutely stellar in both.
