The Binding of Satan Part I discussed how Satan was bound, namely by the message of the truth of the gospel. This prevented unbridled deception of the nations. It revealed God's righteousness and promoted the kingdom of God as the means of salvation for both Jew and Gentile.

Jesus referred to the unbelieving Jews as the children of the devil. Paul spoke of them and the messengers of Satan who transformed themselves into angels of light meaning they pretended to offer light or knowledge but spread darkness instead.

John stated that by their sorcery as the false prophet the nations were deceived. These are all references to Judaizers who resisted the gospel being led by the chief priests, the scribes and Pharisees.
